About the Play
Emily Margaret McLeary arrives in Osgoode Township after a long journey from an orphanage in Scotland. From the the moment she sets foot off the train and is delivered to her new home by the postmaster, her unexpected arrival is met with caution and suspicion from townspeople. Belonging chronicles the unforgiving struggle of a home child searching to fit in.

About the Project
Funded by City of Ottawa – Heritage, this project is a partnership between Just Kiddin’ Theatre ad the Osgoode Township Historical Society and Museum. Our company of actors will workshop, rehearse, and perform this historical play. Please note, unlike JKT’s Mainstage program where “everyone gets a part”, this project is audition-based. Rehearsals will take place in Kenmore on Tuesday evenings November – February. The production will tour area schools during March 5-9, 2012 and will conclude with a public performance at the Osgoode Township Museum in Vernon on March 16. If cast, participants will pay a membership fee of $50.
